HTS started business in Christchurch in 1994. The core business was radio sales and support to Civil Defence and Police Search & Rescue organisations across the country. The business has since expanded throughout the South Island by providing Land Mobile Radio products and GPS Location Based Solutions to commercial users in numerous sectors including construction, transport, agriculture, local body councils, public sector, entertainment venues and tourism operators.
In August 2004 the business was purchased by Matthew Beaven and in February 2005 opened new premises at 485 Blenheim Road. In April 2005 HTS has seen further expansion when it purchased the Two Way radio division of TRS Communications bringing together two of the best two way radio suppliers in the Canterbury market.
We are located at 485 Blenheim Road with easy access traveling either from the City or Sockburn. Off street parking is available for cars and larger vehicles. On display are an advanced range of professional land mobile radio products manufactured by world-class companies. HTS provides professional support to clients including a full installation service, technical support and a range of services including:

HTS provides airtime repeater services in the Canterbury area from the two key premier repeaters sites. Current services include conventional local channels.

Our staff have over 25 years combined experience in GPS Location Based Solutions. We were part of the first development phases when GPS was transmitted using two-way radios
